Video Conferencing with Zoom: Breakdown
Once installed, the Zoom WordPress Plugin offers a great number of features and options for video conferencing. Users are able to create a virtual meeting room on their WordPress page, where they can host video and audio meetings with multiple participants. All participants have the ability to share their screens, enable their video cameras or take part in webchat. Invites can be sent out to members via email, while settings like password protection, time zones, audio and video options can be tailored for each meeting. Hosts have the ability to mute or remove disruptive participants and even schedule recurring meetings, with integrated access to the Zoom dashboard.
The plugin also gives users the possibility to livestream their Zoom meetings on YouTube, allowing viewers to watch while talking with each other in real-time. Any calls that are recorded can also be stored in the Zoom cloud and users can access these recordings at a later date. Additional features include the ability to customize the Zoom integration with user profiles, integration of Zoom meetings on the user’s website or blog, and the ability to create and manage Zoom meetings in the Zoom app.
